Village Receives Grant for $466,000
The Village has started preliminary activities for the Ohio Public Works Commision (OPWC) grant for resurfacing Dorchester Drive, Circle Drive, and Tremont Court. The Geotechnical Work (Subsurface investigation), and the Design Survey are now completed and we are ready to start the design process. This project is a large one and it will run into 2018 before it is completed. We will update you on our progress here on the website but if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email us or call us at 740.862.4491.
2016 Maple Street Sanitary Sewer Lining and Park Street/Monroe Street Storm Drainage
The Village received funding for a Maple Street sanitary sewer lining and a Parks Street/Monroe Street storm drain lining project. Among other items, we removed and replaced inlets and catch basins as well as replaced or rehabilitated the manhole frames and covers in this area. The project was funded through the 2016 Community Development Block Grant Program.
2016 Sidewalk Project
The Village received funding for the construction of a new five-foot-wide concrete sidewalk along the south side of East Market Street from South Gordon Street to Holder Road. Work on the project, which is funded through the 2016 Community Development Block Grant, Neighborhood Revitalization Program, began in late August.
The project included the removal and replacement of existing driveway approaches.

The Village received funding through the Ohio Public Works Commission for the resurfacing of South Mill Street from Market Street to West Elmwood Avenue; the resurfacing of East Cliff Street from North Main Street to Hansbarger Avenue; and for the resurfacing of Tower Street and part of Washington Street.
