Park Use During COVID-19/Coronavirus Precautions

The Village is following all the recommendations and mandates from the CDC, Gov. DeWine, and the Health Department, and this includes for use of the parks. The parks remain an integral part of our community and important for the kids during this uncertain time. As the weather improves the parks may provide some normalcy for them.

While the parks will remain open (subject to future orders by the State), there are some additional restrictions and precautions we ask for your assistance and cooperation with:

  • Keep groups small as recommended and maintain appropriate social distance. Play dates for kids might defeat the purpose of social distancing but there are things kids can do together while maintaining social distance such as passing a baseball/football/soccer ball/frisbee, playing horse, and flying kites.
  • Shelterhouse rentals are being suspended for at least one month. Those with existing rental reservations are being contacted about rescheduling and will be refunded if your event cannot be rescheduled.
  • League/tournament use of the parks for games or practices is suspended until further notice and relaxing of group restrictions by the State.
  • Children that are ill or exhibiting illness symptoms should not use the park equipment.

Please call the Village Office 740-862-4491 with any questions. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
